The Urban Wolf (UW-1A) is a 70 ton clan custom heavy mech originally specific to Clan Wolf

A natural progression from the Grey Wolf, the Urban Wolf was optimized for close quarter combat. Several variants of this mech survived into the Field Trial stage of development. Regardless of the variant, however, there were several detractors of the design as it was being geared for battle in an urban environment (which is normally frowned upon in clan society). Citing the dezgra tactics being employed by the descendents of the Not-Named Clan as well as the Dragons of the Inner Sphere, development and mass production of the Urban Wolf was approved by the Wolf Clan Council. The final variant of this 70-ton design mounts 8 Medium Class Pulse Lasers in combination with a Class 6 Streak Short Range Missile Launcher. Although vastly outnumbered by the Grey and Savage Wolf designs, the Urban Wolf has still become a valued addition to Clan Wolf’s garrisons.

The Urban Wolf is a GW-1A variant, optimised for close-quarters fighting. It mounts eight (C) Medium Pulse Lasers, and has enough heatsinks to fire them all at once. However at range it is helpless, being unable to shoot anything beyond range 12.
