The progression of scientific knowledge has both created and destroyed empires across the ages. Pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge is crucial for success in nearly all aspects of life. The facilities dedicated to scientific discovery employ the best and brightest each empire has to offer, the empire are able to direct the focus of these teams of scientists toward research products the empire needs completed. The amount of daily effort each scientist produces is measured in research points (RP), it is these points which get applied to the chosen theories or practical aspects the empire desires. This facility can employ enough researchers to produce 100 Rpoints per Iday. However constructing this facility costs $2,500,000, 75,000 BP and 1 build slot.
