The Salamander Battle Armor was designed to get in close to a burning Mech to help insure the kill. It has fire resistant armor to help dissipate heat and heat generating weapons have minimal effect. This variant of the Salamander replaces one of the Flamers with an ER Micro Laser for it's main weapons and an SRM1 with std ammo to help it along and keep it's namesake.
