Rank

Rank is picked when founding an Empire. Ranks are typicly assigned when joining a Factions. Ranks may vary from Faction to Faction.

The following is an example from Clan Steel Viper:

Sibko	Welcome to Clan Steel Viper.
Warrior Testing	Time to earn your keep.
MechWarrior	You are now a full fledged member of the Clan Steel Viper.
Point Commander	You have shown skill, here is your chance.
Star Commander	You have skill. Do you have what it takes to keep going?
Star Captain	You have true skill. You stand with the respect of your peers.
Star Colonel	As you look around there is very little outside your command. Your skills will be stressed. Will you stay or will you push for the stars?
Galaxy Commander	Planets fall under your forces. You weild a massive force. The Clan's pride rides with you.
Minor Bloodnamed Galaxy Commander	Limited to 1+Clan members/5. Sim duel decides rank. You are now granted voting rights in the Clan hall.
Major Bloodnamed Galaxy Commander	Limited to 1+Clan members/10 Sim duel decides rank. You wield influence with every word. Granted rights to priority mechs.
Kerensky Bloodnamed Galaxy Commander	Only 5 individuals may hold this rank. The Name of Legends. You are granted two votes in the Clan hall.
Loremaster	Limit one. A position of great prestige. Appointed by Khan. Serves a 3 month term.
saKhan	Limit one. Second in Command. May give executive orders, Khan supercedes all.
Khan	Limit one, Leader of the Clan. Serves for life. Leader of Clan Steel Viper.
ilKhan	Leader of all the Clans. You have the reigns to all of the clans. Only used by CSV if the ilKhan is of Clan Steel Viper.
