The Niops Association is a smaller Periphery nation nestled next to the Free Worlds League. True to its roots the Niops Association has remained a research nation. While research is the primary goal of the Niops Association, many wars have been fought by her soldiers. Many cross-border raids were conducted by the Niops Association and the Marian Hegemony in the early history of the nation. Later, the Niops Association Militia would be called upon again to fight the Capellan Confederation and the Federated Suns beside their Free Worlds League allies. In recent history the Niops Association has settled back into a peaceful stance and returned to its own borders.
