The water-rich world of Midway, with its extensive orbital shipyards, is the home to the Aerospace and Interstellar Institute (AII) which trains its students to serve in aerospace units, Dropships and Jumpships. Recently, the DCMS helped AII create a Warship training program, which has begun to turn out trainee Warship crews. Midway is currently owned by Clan Snow Raven.

Midway was a crucial staging world during the Epic confrontation known loosely as the CWM/TOA war, eventually liberated from The Outworld Alliance by Clan Widowmaker in August 3060, during their retribution campaign. This marks the final stages of the failed jihad brought by a coalition of conspirators, primarily involving The Outworld Alliance, House Marik, House Steiner, Clan Ghost Bear, Clan Wolf, and unconfirmed reports of Circinus Federation as well. During 3080 Midway was peacefully given to Clan Snow Raven.
