The Lynx (LNX), three variants of 55 ton medium battlemechs designed and built in the Inner Sphere, is a model designed for fire support.

[edit] Description
The three variants of Lynx mechs, all nearly identical to each other (the only differences being minor changes to the weapons loadout), are quite well designed for fire support near the front line. Each has 12 tons of armor, 5/8/5 movement, 15 double heat sinks, an ER-PPC and four medium lasers (among additional weapons). An overall excellent medium mech that is superior to some of its heavy class brethren, it is somewhat of a surprise this mech is not more widely used.
