There are many different types of Battlemechs. They are generally divided in two ways. The biggest division is whether the mech is produced by the Clans or the Inner Sphere. The second division is weight class- Light, Medium, Heavy, or Assault.
[edit] List of Clan Mechs
Many Clan 'mechs have one name used by the Clans, and one used by the Inner Sphere(IS). The IS mechs, however, are only known by one name. In these lists, the Clan name on the left and the IS name on the right. If you do not see a second name, the mech is only known by one name. Many Clan mechs have numerous versions with different weapons and armor. Any mechs with more than one version have versions listed below the name(s) of the mech. A number of Inner Sphere battlemechs have been refitted with Clan weapons and technology. They are marked in these lists with (C) after their names.
