The Confederation as it Stands Now
Worlds of the Confederation
Currently our holdings include, Ares, Bithinia, Capella, Grand Base, Indicass, Necromo, Sarna, and Sian. While small, our planets are not trivial, we are mostly self sufficient for our minerals and we have enough space for our empires tho with the recent influx of empires we are cramped. There are many in the Invasion3042 universe that would love to be in our position. Here is a picture of Confederation Space prior to our recent conquests. The worlds we have recently gained control of are Betelgeuse, and Calloway VI.

Friends, Enemies, and Others -
The Confederation counts the Lyran Commonwealth, Federated Suns, and Clan Ghost Bear amongst its closest and most trusted friends. The Outworlds Alliance also held this position prior to its effective death as a faction.
The Clan Wolf, the Taurian Concordant, Butte Hold Pirates, Circinus Federation, the Grey Death Legion, Niops Association, Clan Ice Hellion, Santanders World, Clan Snow Raven, Clan Jade Falcon and the Free Rasalhauge Republic all have cordial relations with us, and we are generally working to improve our relations with them.
Many others have had very little contact with our small house, we are open to talks with most.
Clan Star Adder has shown us its most unpleasant side and we used to have few diplomatic channels with them, however relations have stabilized despite our two factions briefly moving toward a restricted war as they moved to support House Marik. This was cancelled and peace has again stabilized with this group.
While we of House Liao do not have any outright enemies at this time we oppose Clan Widowmaker for a variety of reasons, but we draw the line at diplomatic action at this time.
Due to recent events, the Draconis Combine have been removed from the allied list. Untill such time as their leadership changes, they will remain an unpredictable element, and are to be considered hostile.
The Free Worlds League was until very recently an ally relations continue to decline for some time but are improving again, a limited military engagement has been recently concluded with House Marik.
Events of 3062 and beyond
With the dissolution of half of the Bear Alliance and the Taurian Concordant, the Capellan Confederation became a haven for those players wishing to remain in the game but not in a faction unable to effectivly defend itself from outside aggressors. This surge in membership has brought the confederation more power than it has had in a very long time. Diplomatic contact with the Federated Suns has increased of late as has cooperation with that faction. Whether House Liao can maintain its new found vigor and activity remains to be seen.
Recent diplomatic incidents have strained relations with the Free Worlds League overnight and futher diplomatic tensions have led to a dissolution of their alliance. Despite the change in leadership in the Draconis Combine both sides have reaffirmed their commitment to their alliance.
The revitalization of the Taurian Concordant by new players and with a new Facion Leader, has brought with it a welcome new alliance with that power.
With the recent surge in population, House Liao found ourselves running out of available space. We approached House Marik about the purchase of worlds which was flatly rejected, we then negotiated a limited war to contain violence primarily on the 3 targeted worlds we of the Confederation desired and the worlds we own adjacent to them. Light raiding is allowed by both sides, and thus far our operations have been rather successful.
Marik has hired mercenaries from the Circinus Federation to suppliment their own forces, and have finally begun to retaliate against us. On the whole we continue to succeed, while there has been one glitch in the game that has upset one of our invasions, on the whole our operations are still killing far more than we loose. The Draconis Combine and Clan Ghost Bear have begun making attacks against the Free Worlds League independant of our own operations. The Niops Association has placed a small force of units inside Marik space in support of their alliance. This will not have long term impact on the relations with that small house.
Clan Star Adder has decided to assist House Marik as well against us, House Kurita has since ended its attacks but an unsanctioned attack by a member of the Free Worlds League has drawn sharp reprisals from Clan Widowmaker and diplomatic protests from the Federated Suns. We have asked Clan Ghost Bear to begin coordinating and assisting us with our struggle when the Adders declared they would enter the fray. Militarily we have taken over 1 of 3 active sectors on Betelgeuse and destroyed a second, and a Marik invasion of our space was turned aside in the LZ, unfortunately they have launched several other operations, some pending, some successful, some not.
After a MASSIVE fight the last Free Worlds League empire on Calloway VI fell, the battle lasted approximately 11 real life hours and was a vicious, brutal affair. This joint attack headed by Clan Ghost Bear was out numbered about 3 to 1 and out BV'd approximatly 120k to 85k. This was a total meat grinder fight and lasted way longer than a normal operation of this size, eventually boiling down to a swarm of light tanks and Battle Armor on the Marik side versus a Ghost Bear Timber Wolf and Turkina. I cannot stress enough how much skill the CGB Khan Murphy Kabrinski and our own Krumwel displayed in turning that fight into a win for us. There was a large game error that did now allow us to immediatly claim that world but ReLoad, the game's owner/admin corrected this situation quickly for us. Much Later in the same day Clan Star Adder's SaKhan contacted us and decided to go after Comstar occupied worlds instead of ours and we returned to a mutually allied stance with each other.
A peace treaty has been signed granting Betelgeuse and Calloway VI to the Confederation, and both sides have returned to a full alliance. Further House Liao will provide teachers to League soldiers to help them learn the art of war.
In early 3069 Capellan forces took action to aid the Federated Suns in removing Clan Blood Spirit from the planet New Sirtis. After seven hard fought battles, Blood Spirit was evicted in Operation: Neighbourhood Cleanup. The warriors of Blood Spirit fought well, and are deserving of the respect earned on the field of battle.
