The Grey Wolf (GW-1A) is a 75 ton clan custom heavy mech originally specific to Clan Wolf.
Designed as a deep raider, the Grey Wolf’s reliance solely on energy weapons means that it is free of resupply issues as most ammunition-based mechs are. It was nicknamed the Grey Wolf by its prototype pilot due to the appearance caused by lazy technician caste laborers leaving the mech painted Primer Gray. As the spheroids would say, the name stuck. When shown the specs, Khan MJ Vickers immediately ordered a test run to try out the experimental design under battle conditions before ordering it into full-scale production. Labeled as a mixed-range brawler, the Grey Wolf’s load-out is an impressive array of Large and Medium Class Pulse Lasers tied into an advanced Kobayashi Targeting Computer. After finishing an extremely rigorous Weapons test, one pilot walked away shaking his head while muttering, “Unbelievable, if I saw it, I hit it!”

The Grey Wolf is an extremely deadly mech - manoeuveurable, well-armoured, and most of all well-armed. The combo of pulse weapons and a targeting computer means that a 4 gun pilot is effectively 1 gun. If the Grey Wolf has a weakness, it is that it has no weapons with range greater than 20, leaving it vulnerable to the extreme range of clan laser weaponry.

As a custom mech, the Grey Wolf is no longer available for purchase, and as of mid-March 2009 will no longer be in the game in any form.
