The Fire Moth (DAS-D) is a 20 ton Clan light mech. It is also known as the Dasher.

When the Clans expect to mix it up with other 'Mechs and have no other concern, they equip the Dasher with Alternate Configuration D. Though this variant occasionally has a problem with heat build-up, it can deliver an accurate and deadly hail of laser fire at opposing 'Mechs.

The Fire Moth-D is probably the most deadly variant, mounting five (C) ER Medium Lasers, with a flamer and targeting computer to enhance accuracy. However, it doesn't have sufficient heatsinks to deal with the output from all the lasers at once, and the maintenance and BV cost for such a small mech is extreme to say the least.
