[edit] Clan Wolf Invasion 3042 History
Large playerbase from the beginning - thanks to the battletech universe's detailed history of clan wolf it as always been a popular clan with a membership seeing it the top 3, initially clan jade falcon and the custom clan krakens guard gave it a run for its money numbers wise but over the years they fell by the wayside.
Lots of illogical hate and ranting between members for fun, a favourite tactic amongst clan wolf was to start an argument amongst itself in main waiting for some unwary passerby to try and join on at which point they would all co ordinate in the wolf private rooms and have a little fun toying with their new victim.
Being on what was then the clan front lines Clan Wolf has had many wars in its long history. Some of the most memorable have been the Cult v Wolf war which raged for decades. Both sides lost huge amounts of material and life and game wsie the scale was only ever matched in the kraken guard V taurian concordat battles. These were amongst the first major engagements for Clan forces within Invasion and started the day faster then light drives where discovered, finding itself on the frontlines with all of its planets within striking distance clan wolf found itself being assaulted by the forces of Marik, Steiner and the Taurian concordat under the auspices of the star league as well as cult, as a result clan wolf spent a considerable amount of resources on a wartime economy initially causing the clan to fall behind technologically compared to some of the more rearward clans. Eventually teh SLDF was beaten back and the war with cult slowed down and petered out into small disputes, which stopped in its entirety when Cult imploded, some of the former cult members were absorbed into the clan and it was hoped that this ended a dark time within the Clans and would bring peace to the Kerensky Cluster first the first time in a Generation. Alas it was not meant to be when the Game Admin disbanded the remainder of cult and gave their homeworlds to Clan Widowmaker.
