Clan Widowmaker

Clan Widowmaker is one of the original Clans of Kerensky from the BattleTech universe. It is also represented in Invasion 3042 as a major faction, who began as Inner Sphere, but soon switched their allegiance to Clan and took possesion of the recently decimated Cult Cluster worlds.
Many hard battles were fought in Clan Widowmaker's earlier days, as they sought to carve a sphere of influence out for themselves. Perhaps the largest of these battles was the final fight for the Combine world of Midway, culminating in the destruction of an entire Inner Sphere regiment at the loss of little over a star of Widowmaker assaults. It is upon these victories that the Widowmakers were able to rise to power among the Clans.
Clan Widowmaker no longer exists as a single entity, now having chosen to join longtime allies Clan Blood Spirit as of early 3073.
