Background (brief)

Kraken Guard was formed in 2981 out of the warden/crusader conflict originally comprised of trueborn warriors from among the Clans as well as the Ebon and Katyusha Keshiks, the Kraken Guard fills the schism between the Warden and Crusader views. Seeing this as a gross misinterpretation of the Founder's words simply by maintaining that; "Any interpretation of the Founder's intent must be considered incorrect if it has caused such a schism amongst his Clans." Simply meaning they do not agree with the ultra-views of those two divisions while not hesitating at the ultimate goal is to re-establish the star league.

Kraken Guard in Invasion 3042 (brief) Kraken Guard emerged among the first factions to join Invasion 3042, even though fast establishing a large faction recruiting was generally very selective, most likely from both internal standards and a game perspective as the faction cut it ways through the known space.

After battling at the time large factions such as Steiner (still large) and the Taurian Concordat, including winning the largest battle so far in Invasion 3042 history (Melissia, Steiner space, 320 mechs dead, 604,656 BV killed in a single battle), Kraken Guard finally had a Khan as ilKhan and possession of Terra (ilClan).

In 3061-3062 discussions in the Grand Council led to that the Khan of Kraken Guard "stepped down" as the ilKhan. In 3062 Kraken Guard suddenly ceased to exist, some galaxies can likely be traced to Clan Diamond Shark as that clan took over some Kraken Guard holding, other galaxies whereabouts are more uncertain. Sketchy rumors also indicates that the former ilKhan has established a new holding somewhere in the Periphery.

Like the multi-tentacled creature of its namesake, the Kraken Guard will rise as the supreme ruler of the depths, striking terror in the hearts of those who bob upon the surface of the waters. (Quote from unknown source)
