The CULT-8 Brimstone is a 100t assault mech originally specific to Cult.
Massive space debris trapped within the Trajyn Nebula colliding with the giant world of Azov is a common daily occurrence. Lacking atmosphere, Azov is defenseless from the withering assault. The close orbit of Bloodmoon places it within risk of the consequential ricochet of hailing volcanic rock from Azov. This effect known to the Sacrifell as Brimstone, is where the hellish Cult Mech received its namesake. The Sacrifell Ministry ordered the mech into full production in 3042 Spitting out an accurate long range hail of fire and brimstone, the Cult 8 is the consequence rained down upon all who appose the Cult of the Bloodmoon.

One of the most destructive 'mechs ever to see the light of day in Invasion3042, the Brimstone was built to be the rank-and-file of Cult's army. With its 5 Large Pulse Lasers and targetting computer, it was capable of demolishing any opposition within its reach at relatively low-BV for its size. It carried the maximum amount of armor possible, and was a difficult machine to destroy. While it carried no arm weapons, this was intentional - arms were more likely to be blown off or otherwise damaged. Despite having thin rear armor and no guns firing into its rear arc, almost nothing would survive to get close enough to threaten the Brimstone's rear armor.
This 'mech was the inspiration behind Clan Widowmaker's Crimson Blade 'mech, which is very similar in concept to the Brimstone.
