Battle Armor (BA) is a suite of powered armor covering a soldier giving him or her increased battle field abilitys such as heavier weapons and better over all survival. Currently in game Battle armor is no where near as numerous as mech forces however find uses as harrassers in built up or heavily wooded areas

Overview
In concept a suite of power armor is very similar in premise to a BattleMech. A infantry solider would be placed in a suite of armor and composites that not only allowed the soldier to bring increased firepower to the battle field but increased strength and survivability that a more traditional foot solider would be unable to match.
Most forms of power armor have a main anti armor weapon ranging from the new King David gauss rifle to more traditional Short Range missile packs or support lasers. As well as a small anti personal weapon used to keep unarmored infantry at bay, the other form of attack is in the increased strength of the Power armor. Able to literally ripe sheets of armor off a target they are able to cripple larger mechs and incapacitate tanks by going for actuators and other propulsion systems. This strength is imparted by the use of Myomers which are nearly identical except in size that battlemechs use and in close quarters combat power armor can be a fearsome opponent despite its size.
History
In a effort to keep a strong military advantage Jonathon Cameron of the Terran Hegmony set about revamping many of the Hegemonys military forces with improved equipment. One of these was the advent of the nighthawk power armor a new form of infantry that allows the standard foot soldier to carry heavier weapons then ever before. However before this new weapon could be massed produced the Amiris coup stopped all production and the design is lost to all but to the Kerensky exodus and a few working models to Comstar. And the concept was lost to the Inner Sphere until the return of the Clans.
Game Mechanics
Currently power armor in Invasion have 3 modes of attack. The first being the primary ranged weapon which includes various systems such as Lasers, SRM's, and other heavy anti armor weapons with a few exceptions to more specialized equipment like on the Fa Shih TAG which mounts a TAG laser. The other form of attack is a Leg Attack which goes for the critting joints on the legs and the Swarm attack which does random damage to the Mech
Damage done to the target is in direct proportion to the number of Troopers that are present in the unit, with the IS having 4 soldiers and Clan having 5 to represent military setups. A example of this is a IS Power armor squad using support lasers would result in 4 small lasers hitting the target for 12 points of damage and clan would be 15 points total. If the squad is down to, say, three troopers weapon damage would reflect the loss of that trooper and be 9 points. This is also true of the other methods of attack.
As of this writing you can repair power armor but not replace soliders.
