Armour is a protective coating designed to prevent damage to a person or vehicle. While infantry, also known as battle armor, and vehicles use a single standardized type of armour, Mechs can be equipped with either standard grade armor, the improved, but more expensive, ferro-fibrous armor, or the very expensive [stealth armor]. The latter is not available to the honor-bound Clans.
