Congrats to Ben Holland who won the latest IGC Tourney he of course won the uber rare tourney marauder, a choice mech indeed, congrats to everyone who won a prize and participated, also a thanks to Osi who ran the tourney.
The donation/subscriber monthly prize winner this month is Hippo who won the awesome warhammer of doom! – nice one hippo, good luck to everyone next month.

These has been several new Missions added in by players, i played one yesterday, got totally spanked the first run i did, but the second i got over the line, and scored some great booty, there is always lots of new mission being added by the missions team.
AI changes.
Ok folks, were going to be making some significant changes to AI, to be able to do several things.
1) To be able to be told to move to a certain spot
2) To target a specific unit
3) To move to within an optimal range of your setting.
These very general and broad statements mean a lot in many different situations, in particular with missions, in that were going to be able to give you all a HUGE variety of new mission types, like escort the convoy, destroy a specific unit, stop the AI moving to a new location etc, huge potential!
Now combine this with the ability to setup your forces to be more effective in terms of range and ability to target certain units will mean a more comprehensive AI.
Will it be smarter? Well yes and no, we can program it to make certain decisions and take certain actions, but it will still never be able to think like you a player.
There are many other things we want to do with AI but this is a good starting place.
Now to achieve this, we have enlisted the services of a professional programmer to undertake this activity, which is going to cost us some reasonable $$$, so i would like to formerly ask you the playerbase to at least help in the fund raising for these great new AI features. As such we will be running a Donation promotion to raise funds, please think about supporting this great opportunity.
The promotion will be run similar to the last one in that a super cool prize will be drawn. Most likely a mech or mech(s) research will be given to the winner(s).
I would also like to thank everyone who is subscribing to the game at the minute although there is not many of you your patience with me whilst my normal day jobs workload has pushed me over the limit of common speaks volumes of your faith in me.
Now to those who bitch and moan about things like AI and pirates, now is the time to pony up, if you want them changed, which i know you do as much as me, pony up pay your share, i’m going to fork out a lot to get these things done, you need to pay your share, no excuses.
I am just as committed to this game as i have ever been, its just that i haven’t had the time, which i am trying to change, both through hiring new resources, and regaining my work/life balance.
The next new major thing, Right now Redneck is collating the list of the new mechs to go into the game, so please if he calls for help or assistance, please help him out, there will be off the top of my head, hundreds of new mechs and hundreds of new tanks using all new systems weapons and stuff, so again help out where you can.
I also plan to have the windows 7 certification done this weekend all being well, so look out for the update.
